Nerdy Kid's Choice Awards

It is a truth universally held that I am raising a nerdy child, and am proud of it. Last night was the Kid's Choice Awards on Nick and I wondered how the results would vary from the nerdy kid perspective. So I asked my kid his opinion and here is what I found.
(To create this list I used the results of the 2013 Kids Choice Awards compared to my sons picks. )

Mainstream Picks VS The Nerd Picks

Favorite TV Show
Award Winner
Victorious: A show about a girl who wants to become a star. The show has few strong adult characters, and most adults are shown to be stupid and incompetent.

Vs.
Dr. Who: A show about a time traveling alien and his companion that save the world and place a high value on intelligence, and all life.

Favorite Animated Cartoon
My kid and the mainstream both love:
Sponge Bob Squarepants: No description necessary on this one. J

Award Winner
Ross Lynch

VS.
Matt Smith

Favorite TV Actress
Award Winner
Selena Gomez

VS.
Karen Gillian
(Note: Billie Piper was a close second but was not on the show in 2012.)

The Hunger Games

VS.
Harry Potter (He has read the first three and likes them all.)

Favorite Video Game
Award Winner
Just Dance 4

VS.
Minecraft

Favorite App

Temple Run

VS
Smurfs (I wouldn’t let him pick Minecraft twice.)

Award Winner
The Hunger Games

VS.
The Hobbit an Unexpected Journey

Favorite Movie Actor
Award Winner
Johnny Depp

VS.

Ian McKellen

Favorite Movie Actress
Award Winner
Kristen Stewart: As Bella Swan

VS.
Anne Hathaway : As Cat Woman

Favorite Animated Movie
Award Winner
Wreck It Ralph

VS.
Frankenweenie

Favorite Female Buttkicker
Award Winner
Kristen Stewart: As Bella Swan (Really?!?)

VS.
Anne Hathaway : As Cat Woman

Favorite Male Buttkicker
Award Winner

Just looking at this I have to say that my nerdy kid has far better role models.
